As many folk begin to pack their bags for the first shred trip of a new season, 2014 is coming to a close. Looking back we have to say that was yet another crazy year for snowboarding.

Of course there was Sochi and all the madness that surrounded it, but away from the contest circuit snowboarding, video has still been alive and kicking. The amount of online edits that get passed to us every day is astonishing - it's unfortunate that there are only so many hours in the day to post and share the best of them.

And despite what many had predicted, full movies are still roaring away. There have been amazing films from Absinthe, Shredbots, Volcom, Grindhouse and Nitro, just to name a few. Others like Burton have utilised the dark arts of the web to bring out full movies in instalments, allowing us a more in depth and richer look at some of the world's best riders that a 45 minute movie doesn't allow.

With so much good shit out there, we thought it would be nice to distil some of what we would consider the best moments of an amazing year into five minutes. Watch and enjoy, but don't stop there. Visit a few and maybe even spend a little bit of money buying a movie and supporting these amazing film makers.
